SMU Alumni Access Fund

 

The SMU Alumni Access Fund provides non-tuition financial assistance to undergraduate students in need. Each recipient receives a $5,000 annual cash grant to support living expenses and global exposure opportunities.

 

A contribution of $5,000 supports one student for an academic year, while a contribution of $2,500 supports one student for a semester. Your gift will empower students beyond the classroom, helping them pursue their co-curricular passions, cover living expenses, and participate in overseas programmes. Open the door for your juniors to access the same opportunities and experiences that have shaped generations of SMU alumni.

Every contribution that you make is tax-deductible. Singapore individuals and corporate tax residents will enjoy 2.5 times tax deductions for approved donations to SMU made from 1 January 2016 to 31 December 2029.

Important note from IRAS: Donors are required to provide their tax reference numbers (NRIC / FIN / UEN) to SMU when they make their donations in order to be given tax deductions on the donations. If your tax reference number is provided, the deduction will be automatically included in your tax assessment. IRAS no longer accepts claims for tax deductions based on donation receipts.

Please note that all donations will be filed electronically to IRAS if you are a qualifying tax resident of Singapore.
